Sam & Rob Get Married!

Woo! What a season! Tonight was the last wedding of 2014 and it was wonderful! Sam and Rob are now husband and wife! We started the afternoon at the Profile Event Center in the gorgeous bridal suite with 'maids and makeup everywhere! ;) It was the epitome of what the ladies' room can look like on a wedding day. The gentlemen on the other hand, were relaxed, dressed and drinking a few refreshments in their suite. After slipping into her Maggie Sottero gown (okay, she was actually in their pretty snugly...) we headed over to the Guthrie for the first look.

Rain stayed away thankfully as Rob and Sam saw one another for the time this afternoon. And on top of the endless bridge, there was a hardly a breeze. It was perfect! The wedding party joined us along with Sam and Rob's two year old son. Too cute! This wedding party was energetic and goofy from the get-go! It was awesome feeding off their energy. The ladies wore navy pencil dresses and absolutely gorgeous pink bouquets. (And were troopers taking photos outside in their knee-length dresses and bare shoulders!) Sam and Rob were nothing but smiles even amidst a few schedule snags. Such a sweet and happy pair!

Everyone headed on over to St. John the Baptist church in New Brighton where Sam and Rob made it official. The deacon had such sweet notes to share with everyone that Rob and Sam had said about one another, only confirming the true love and support they have together. Shortly after the ceremony everyone hopped onto the party bus from Ride Safe for some libations and boogying! A great benefit to it getting darker earlier? It's easier to sneak in a fantastic lit up cityscape shot before the reception! :)

Antsy to party, Sam and Rob were literally running back to the party bus to head over to their reception at the Profile! They both were sporting their converse shoes at this point so sprinting was made easy! When we arrived, the in-house DJ was ready to get the party going. A very celebratory grand entrance was a fantastic start including a mock touchdown with a bouquet which included slamming the "ball" onto the floor bursting pink roses and hydrangeas everywhere!

During dinner there were lovely toasts from the best man and maids of honor. Lots of laughter and a few glistening tears. Sam and Rob put a fun twist on traditional glass clinking for their guests. I will be coining this game "If you clink, you may drink" which had guests names pulled out of a basket every time someone clinked the glasses. Said person had to roll dice determining if Sam and Rob would kiss or if that person would be finishing (or taking a big gulp) of their beverage. Good thing these guests like to drink! ;) And I must say, a chocolate fountain in lieu of a wedding cake... my new favorite thing! Between the amazing chocolate goodness (dipping the marshmallows was to die for), dancing and photo booth... these guests were covered! Fun to be had all night long!

Sam and Rob, thank you for being an awesome couple to end the season with! Enjoy your recap of your beautiful wedding day!
