Susie & TJ Get Married!

What a beautiful day to get married! TJ and Susie did just that this evening and are now husband and wife! This group was the definition of the importance of family; and it didn't matter if that was family by blood or really close friends. Both TJ and Susie have a wonderful foundation of people they love and who love them to begin their life together.

These newlyweds are one those really cool couples; like leather jackets and shades type cool. Today was no exception! Customized sunglasses were even given to guests so that they could be cool too, at least for the day. Susie was stunning in her Allure gown from the Wedding Shoppe. Dapper as ever in his gray suit, TJ accompanied his bride in good looks. Also in gray suits, the groomsmen were as sharp as the groom. The bridesmaids killed it in short black dresses of their choosing. I love this trend!

All events today took place at the amazing FIVE Event Center in Minneapolis.(Side note, I also had my wedding reception at this awesome venue a few years back. I was more than a little excited to shoot here!) The bride and her maids were able to get ready in the bridal suite located in the back of the venue before heading upstairs to tie the knot. Guests filled the space from end to end. This couple sure does have a lot of people who love them! TJ and Susie waited to see each other for the ceremony which typically leaves a little more nervousness for the couple. But not these two! They seemed cool as cucumbers until just moments before seeing one another.

After photos with family and wedding party on the FIVE's new (or new to me anyway) deck and surrounding area, it was time to get the party started! Deco Catering served a fresh cucumber and spinach salad before the main course. Lovely toasts said by the father of the bride, best man and maid of honor gave the perfect amount of sweetness and razzing for the pair. Cocoa and Fig provided a three tiered cake, a flourless chocolate torte and other delectable goodies.

The dance floor was packed all night! The DJ, a relative of the groom, knew what this crowd wanted! And to add to the family affair, an aunt also did the floral arrangements for the whole event! Boisterous bouquets and a variety of centerpieces were just what the bride ordered. =)

TJ and Susie, it was a ton of fun being with you all day today! Congratulations! Enjoy this recap of your big day!
