Lindsay & Ben Get Married!

Falling in love nearly instantaneously after a blind date (how retro! ;)) Lindsay and Ben tied the knot today! Well, yesterday but let's roll with it. =) After a sweet first look we buzzed around Minneapolis to the happy couple's favorite spots! After stopping at quintessential Minneapolis locations like First Ave and Target Field, we just had to finish off the quick city tour with a shot of the skyline from the Stone Arch Bridge. What a perfect day for it!

Along with the first look, ceremony and reception took place at the unique Lumber Exchange Fountain Room. Sky-high open space, marble staircase and that truly old city architecture were just a few neat pieces of today's venue! Lindsay's best friend officiated and was by far one of the more memorable ceremonies.  How could it not be with a reference to a Paula Abdul song that perfectly explained how these two opposites, Lindsay and Ben, work so well together. (See Opposites Attract circa 1989.) Included on that unforgettable list, and a first for me, was rather than a unity candle or sand or hand tying, this bride and groom found their inner bartender and had a unity drink! Using sweet analogies as they poured each ingredient into the glass, it was truly a very personalized and memorable moment.

After cocktail hour, guests returned to the Fountain Room to enjoy a slice, or three, of the ever-delicious Pizza Luce. That's right! Hundreds of pizzas were delivered for this evenings reception and it was a perfect low-key yet yummy selection. You could pretty much see Lindsay start to get antsy to get the dancing and partying started! And it was infectious because if people weren't dancing, they were signing along at the top of their lungs! After each of the parent spotlight dances, Lindsay and Ben had each respective parent and child coupling join the dance floor for their very own father-daughter and mother-son dance. Such a sweet idea! The teeniest of daughters of probably only four weeks dancing with her father, just about did me in. ;)

Lindsay and Ben, enjoy this quick look at your wedding day!
