Travis & Teri Get Married!

Hello August! One of the hottest days this summer, and it was still perfect! Teri and Travis tied the knot this evening at the gorgeous Saint Paul College Club. The happy couple and their lovely families were probably the friendliest bunch of people I have been around. Truly loving and welcoming; they even wanted to make sure that they snapped a photo WITH us! Both Teri and Travis knew they wanted their day to be simple but elegant and special. Between the venue, attire and decor... they nailed it.

Teri's Tadashi Shoji gown was killer! Although technically not a wedding dress, it made it all the more amazing, I think. So chic. So different. I loved it. Travis was just as killer in a crisp blue suit and plaid shirt. Both seemed to stay true to their own style and personality which is really the best way to help your wedding really stay "your" day. Bridesmaids dresses were just as unique as Teri's; and the groomsmen, just as dapper as Travis. =) Adding to the amazingness: Teri and her mom made the bouquets and boutonnieres just last night! Vibrant and fresh colors; such a great selection overall.

After a lovely first look and family formals on Harriet Island (thank goodness for shade and a great breeze!) we arrived on the grounds of the College Club where Teri and Travis made sure there was time allotted to use the beautiful space! I couldn't get enough. Ceremony began with the evening sun shining through the trees. A few short readings and sweet words from their pastor, and this beautiful pair was married!

The evening light was too good not to use for a little sun drenching and backlighting. Teri was quite literally glowing as the sun lit up her veil (also made by mom) and dress. Just stunning. Both Teri and Travis were troopers as I kept saying 'oh, let's just do one more.. oh, wait, one more'... totally worth it! The reception space was lovely in white linens and twinkle lights with touches of gold and pink from the DIY centerpieces.  And to really step it up a notch, Teri did ALL of the calligraphy on the invites and escort cards herself. She did an amazing job! The DJ from Studio Veil kept the music energized. And although we left before the dancing began, I could tell it was going to be a fun night on the dance floor!

Travis and Teri, enjoy your sneak peek! Thank you for having me a part of your wonderful wedding day!
