Sean & Tegan Get Married!

What an amazing summerfall (patent pending ;)) day! Sean and Tegan said their vows today and are now husband and wife! The lovely pair wanted today to be low-key, personal and fun. They had a private ceremony in a prairie in Afton State Park. What a beautiful park! The ceremony was so sweet and intimate. No alter. No chairs. Just twenty or so family members and the happy couple on top of a prairie. I felt lucky to be a part of it. With the sun shining strong they read their sweet vows to one another. These were the sort of vows that made me wish I had written them. And wish that I could remember them well enough to summarize here... I will try. Promising to always love each other just the way they are; Tegan referenced that the root of their love was just as deep and strong as the prairie grass that surrounded them (I may have started tearing up at this point); Sean told Tegan that she was the most beautiful person he has ever met. Basically, they are deeply in love and there is nothing that is going to ever change that. =) Before the officiant could tell them to do so, Tegan and Sean sealed their nuptials with a kiss!

We utilized the prairie grass and sunshine for the couple's portrait time. They were troopers has I had them stand in the field to only then turn around and see two giant spiders behind them... Good job at not screaming Sean! Scooting away in their getaway car (with tin cans and all) everyone headed to the reception at Central Park of Woodbury. Starting with a signing tree for the guest book, the couple had small touches of nature throughout the venue. Of course in addition to the actual nature. Table decor included mason jars filled with rocks and candles accompanied with an engraved piece of wood with the couples initials and date. A darling keepsake! Divine Swine catered the event with a picnic themed buffet and guests, and myself, enjoyed a cupcake from Dorothy Ann Bakery and Cafe

The music started and guests were really starting to shake it! It was going to be a fun night! Tegan and Sean, congratulations again. It was a pleasure being there with you today. Enjoy your recap.
