Steve & Natalie Get Married!

An I for a U... The Vowel Exchange... I loves U... Lind/Lund... Lots of word play went into today's lovely nuptials as the happy couple's last names were only different by one simple letter. (If you haven't caught on, it was an "i" instead of a "u".) Natalie and Steve tied the knot today and made the exchange of rings, vows and vowels. For the day however, they were Mr. and Mrs. Loveberg. =)

We started this (hot) day off with a sweet first sight in the stunning sanctuary at Natalie's childhood church, Zion Lutheran in Anoka. I couldn't get enough of the amazing architecture in this space. The awesome amount of light coming through didn't hurt either! The lovely bride wore a satin Mori Lee gown from the Wedding Shoppe; with a pretty good amount of tulle under her gown she was all about staying inside for photos. (Which many of us were thankful for!) Natalie's maids were just adorable in short navy dresses, also from the Wedding Shoppe. And of course you can't forget about the handsome men in dark gray suits from Savvi Formalwear. White rose bouquets and boutonnieres from Toni's Flowers were classic and fresh accompaniments to the wedding party's attire.

Natalie and Steve were adorably in love today. Lots of loving glances and whispered "I love you's" to one another. Once they sealed the deal with a kiss and floated in happiness down the aisle, they were ready to let loose! Since we had done a first look we were able to knock out all formals before the ceremony. This can allow the rest of the afternoon and evening for a little more relaxation and celebration... And this wedding party took full advantage! Total Luxury Limousine drove the wedding party and happy couple (and myself) around Anoka and Blaine for a few pit stops and shots while the bride and groom's guests enjoyed their own drinks and elegant hors d'oeuvres at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine.

We were able to wrangle the wedding party for just a few more shots upon arriving to the reception. Good thing it was time for the "fun" photos. =) Natalie and Steve were not alone in the ready-to-party department... Between the wedding party and guests, it was guaranteed to be a good time. People were belting out lyrics at their table to just the dinner music! Of course, the DJ from Neckwork Entertainment was playing some pretty awesome music that definitely got the crowd going.

The father of the bride set the bar high for toasts between reminiscing about exciting diaper changes when Natalie was a baby and chanting cheers he had memorized from the bride's cheerleading days in college and high school; you could tell her was a proud dad, aka papito, aka cha-cha... (nicknames are big in this family). Steve's brother had the role of best man and gave a sweet toast about how great it was watching him grow up, and how fast it goes by. He counted himself quite lucky to have Steve as one of his best friends. Now to the Maids of Honor's "toasts"... EPIC. The lovely maids are Natalie's two sisters and they came up with a custom rap in lieu of the traditional toast. Slipping on their shades and grabbing that mic, they had quite the rhymes to various old school hip hop songs. The whole thing was just genius!

After slicing into their cute bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cake (which by the way, Oh. My. Good!) and guests had warmed up the dance floor for the couple, they made their way for their first dance as husband and wife. And to add to the already epic events of this evening, Natalie and her dad had THEE best choreographed dance! Including props, song changes and synchronized hip shakes! The energy was high and people were busting some crazy moves! Nothing beats a crowded dance floor.

As usual, I am getting long-winded here... Natalie and Steve, congratulations! Enjoy this preview into your wedding day!
